When you write in, please include: your device and OS version, the app version (find it under Settings → About — coming in v1.1), and a short description of what you tried. Screenshots help.

Frequently asked.

Where is my data stored?

Your family content — calendar, tasks, notes, members — lives on the device you typed it into, in the app's private storage area. It is not uploaded anywhere. The only thing that leaves the device is the anonymous diagnostic signal described below, and only if you have it switched on. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Does Pamily send anything to a server?

Two things, both opt-out-able, neither containing your family content:

1. Firebase Crashlytics — when the app crashes, a stack trace and small environment values (OS version, device model, app version, free memory at crash) go to Google so we can fix the bug.

2. Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous counters of which screens are visited and which features are used. Event payloads never include personal content.

Both linked only to a per-install random identifier. Both can be turned off in Settings → Privacy. Local-only mode forces both off automatically. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled in the Firebase project — diagnostics is not joined with any ad profile.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Open Settings → Export encrypted backup on the old phone. Save the resulting file to a place both phones can reach (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, AirDrop, USB transfer). On the new phone, install Pamily, open Settings → Restore from backup, and pick the file. The backup is end-to-end encrypted — the file is unreadable without the master key, which travels alongside it inside the encrypted envelope.

I want to delete everything. How?

1. Your family content (calendar, tasks, notes, members): open the app, go to Settings → Wipe data on this device. One tap clears every family member, event, task, note, subscription, and setting on that device. The action cannot be undone — export an encrypted backup first if you might want anything back. Uninstalling the app also removes every local byte.

2. Synced data in your cloud: Pamily Sync writes encrypted blobs into a Pamily-specific folder inside your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive. To remove them: open the Files app (iOS) or Drive web (Android), locate the Pamily folder, delete it. Pamily cannot delete files in your cloud on your behalf.

3. Diagnostic events already sent to Google: Settings → Privacy → switch off "Send crash reports" and "Send anonymous diagnostics". This stops the SDKs immediately. To purge events already received by Google before opt-out, email dev.puhgeh@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my diagnostic data" — we'll file the deletion request via Google's Analytics deletion flow on your behalf. You can also self-serve at support.google.com/analytics/answer/9450800.

4. Cancel the Sync subscription: open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) subscription settings. Cancellation does not delete data; combine with steps 1 and 2 if that's what you want.

Does Pamily sync between phones?

Yes, with an optional Pamily Sync subscription. Sync converges shared lists across every device in your household using your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive as the storage backend. Pamily never holds the data: the blobs are end-to-end encrypted with a household key that lives in the platform keychain on each device. Sync is off by default; turn it on in Settings → Sync and pick a cloud provider.

How much does Sync cost?

Sync is gated behind an auto-renewing subscription managed by the App Store or Google Play. Indicative pricing: NZ$3.99/month or NZ$34.99/year (with a 7-day free trial on the yearly tier). Pricing localises automatically per store. The subscription pays for ongoing development — the cloud storage itself is yours.

What happens if I cancel my Sync subscription?

All synced data already on your devices stays readable forever — there is no lock-in. Only new writes stop syncing across devices; local edits continue to work. Resubscribe at any time to resume; revert to local-only mode and keep using Pamily for free indefinitely.

Can I share the subscription with my family?

On iOS, yes — Pamily Sync is enabled for Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers everyone in your Apple family group. On Android, follow Google Play's Family Library rules for shareable subscriptions.

Why are some labels in Filipino on my English phone?

Pamily ships English (NZ), Filipino, and Spanish, picked from the device's language preference. If you want to override it, Settings → Language → pick the locale you want.

Is the app accessible?

Yes. Text scales between 0.85× and 1.6× without breaking layout. Every interactive element has a ≥48dp tap target. Reduce-motion preferences are respected on every animation. VoiceOver and TalkBack are supported on every screen. If you hit something that does not work for you, please email — we will fix it.

How much does Pamily cost?

The app is free to download and use locally. Pamily Sync is an optional auto-renewing subscription (indicative: NZ$3.99/month or NZ$34.99/year with a 7-day free trial on the yearly tier). There will never be ads or sponsored features. Optional one-time in-app purchases for themes / icon packs may be added per release; nothing is paywalled beyond Sync today.

I have feedback / a bug / a feature request.

Wonderful. Email dev.puhgeh@gmail.com with as much context as you can. There is no public issue tracker right now; the inbox is the queue.
